H2O DIVE & FUN
We are a multi-activity and sports center located in the Greek island Samothraki. Our main activity is scuba diving center and dive school, but we also offer boat trips, mountain trips, canyoning and kaiaking experiences. We have certified scuba diving instructors as well as mountain guides to offer you safe and fun trips all around the beautiful and bohemian Samothraki island.
RECREATIONAL DIVING
Live an unique experience – discover scuba diving
The activity for beginners called Discover Scuba Diving includes one fun dive from the beach, in shallow waters, together with a certified instructor, while you explore the underwater with your own eyes. Discover Scuba Diving allows you to find out if the diving experience is enjoyable for you or not. Although it is not a certification, you will still learn how to use the diving equipment in shallow waters and you get a quick and easy introduction in what underwater world exploration is all about. We guarantee the best quality of our services, as well as of the equipment we use. Our PADI instructors have a long experience in recreational diving, as well as tech, and they promise you safe and fun dives. All you have to do is relax and enjoy.
SCUBA DIVING COURSES
Become a certified diver
DIVE AND FUN IKE, under the brand name H2O DIVE & FUN, is a PADI dive center offering international diving courses, respecting the highest quality and safety standards in the diving industry. We are a diving school in Bucharest, with a dive center in northern Greece, open all summer. Our PADI Certification Courses are internationally recognized so wherever your trips take you, you can safely go diving and be assured that your certification will be recognized by the local dive community. Whether you just want to interact with multicolored and playful fish, see the nearby coral reef, swim with dolphins or explore the wrecks of sunk vessels, everything starts with us. We offer all PADI recreational programs from Bubblemaker for children and Discover Scuba Diving for beginners of all ages, continuing with Open Water Diver to advanced specialties or professional courses like Rescue Diver, Master Scuba Diver and Dive Master. Explore the island from below the surface
For already certified divers, we offer guided dives and boat dive trips all around Samothraki island. We explore different sites, with various depths, ranging from 10 to 40 meters, underwater photography, exploring the aegean underwater flora and fauna. We have a complete range of diving equipment that you can rent and a professional team to guide you through you experience. With special booking in advance, night dives are also a fabulous activity you can try in the beautiful Samothraki island.
MOUNTAIN TRIPS
Explore the island from above the clouds
Samothraki offers various hiking possibilities. The mountain Saos with its highest peak Fengari (meaning moon) 1611m is the main trail for those passionate about mountain hikes. During classical antiquity, this mountain was very useful for sailors’ navigation, due to its height and prominence. In legend, Poseidon watched the Trojan War from this peak. The easiest way to access the summit is via the northern side of the mountain. During the summer, this area can contain considerable cloud and mist. On clear days, though, the view from this area includes a large part of the northern Aegean Sea and stretches from the Çanakkale in the East to Mount Athos in the West. Also, due to its height and the diversity of its climate, many very interesting and rare plant species can be found on Fengari.
WATERFALLS, CANYONING
Explore the island famous vathres
Samothrace is famous for its beaches but even more for its vathres (i.e. successive natural pools formed in the rocks with crystal, deep-green waters). There are more than a hundred of them on the island, but the most popular by far are Fonias (the Killer) and Gria Vathra (the Old Pool). You can enjoy these unique cool natural pools by hiking or by canyoning with our certified mountain guides.
